The company was founded by Mossa Ibrahim Al-Lawati, in 1978 and was the first Plastic manufacturing company in the Sultanate. Over the course of the following years, his sons, Malallah Al-Lawati and Hussain Al-Lawati, joined the organisation in 2001 and 2002, respectively. It was only in 2008, when the company became a completely family-owned business. The tremendous progress made since 1978 is clearyly reflected by the growth in our market share. Our dedicated staff, and comprehensive product choice has enabled us to become the plastics supplier of choice in the region. We consistently support eco-friendly initiatives and strictly maintain HSE standards. We have subsequently began exporting to other countries in the region like, Yemen and Qatar; and also indirectly export Pakistan, Korea, UAE. We are guided by our strong corporate ethics and strive to strengthen the trustworthy relationship with our customers, employees and society in general. We are therefore committed to our corporate ethics in all our activities by making it integral part of the corporate culture.

Today, Polythene Plastic is proud to play an active role in His Majesty’s vision of Self Reliance. Guided by this vision the company has made rapid advances over the last 4 decates.
